Wendell Burnette Architects was commissioned to provide a feasibility study to gain student support for an SRC Expansion. Through accelerated staff and student “leadership-visioning” workshops to challenge the given program, we prioritized the needs for the Tempe Campus with a uniquely branded marketing approach that helped students to visualize the potentials for an expansion. The institutional goals: “A Place to Meet I Less Waiting. More Programs. I Live Well. Live Green I New Partnerships. Added Value” were successfully communicated through a 5000-piece multi-media campaign that garnered widespread support. The success of this initial campaign on the Tempe Campus led the way toward the approval of the student fee increase that currently funds new and expanded recreation facilities on all four ASU Campuses.
